Prague, in the Fifties.
Ludvik, a senior executive at the Governement Office and his wife, Anna go home only to find that someone has been in their villa during their absence.
Having learned that his boss, Minister Kosera has been arrested along with many other executives, Ludvik fears that the same fate awaits him.
