The Palme d’Or was awarded to Love by Michael Haneke. Michael Haneke received his award from Adrien Brody and Audrey Tautou.

The director said: “I am very happy to be with my actors on this stage, it makes me less shy. I would like to thank the entire Jury and Thierry Fremaux, who gave me the opportunity to present this film here. Thanks to everyone who helped me make this film.
