At age 43, after sacrificing nearly everything to achieve her career ambitions, helene, a beautiful and strong French woman, decides to stop letting life pass her by.
Her desire to be a mother takes her to the most removed part of Argentina, searching for a child to adopt. There she discovers the Nord Este, a wild region where the astonishing beauty of the countryside violently contrasts with such a misery that any kind of corruption, dealing or compromise becomes possible.
