Selected from 4288 films, 11 shorts are presented this year in Competition, coming from 12 countries : Argentina, Colombia, Spain, the United States, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Iceland, Norway, Poland, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. The Short Film Palme d’or will be handed by the Jury chaired by Ildikó Enyedi, Saturday, May 27, during the closing ceremony of the 76th Festival de Cannes.
The short films will be screened on Friday, May 26 at 11am in the Debussy Room and at 4:45pm in the Agnès Varda Room.

Alice is 27 years old today. Even though she is suffocating a bit, she still lives with her parents and tends to live in her dreams to escape her dreary everyday life. After a psychedelic party on a factory roof, she has a serious drunken bike accident.

Poland & Ukraine – 15′
Lera has been living in Berlin for almost a year since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. One day she decides to go back to Kyiv. On her way, she finds out that her family is not in Kyiv and will arrive only the next day. She meets her friend Kyrylo, with whom she spends the day.

At a downtown café, three business colleagues are discussing a future investment opportunity when a seagull hits the cafe’s window right in front of them. Anna, one of the colleagues, tries to ignore the event but is unable to shake off the incidents.

Whilst a mother drives with her daughter through the wealthy suburbs, she accidentally drives her car into a mansion’s beautiful flower patch. The daughter needs to provide the solution, before her mother’s visceral fascination with the house and its owner drives them both to a point of no return.
